Customers Can Get Revenge Against Crappy Customer Service

Ever buy a product online that you absolutely despised, only to despise it even more when you call up customer service? This happens far too often.

Companies sell their products just to make money, and they don’t really care what happens afterwards. Before you feel completely defeated in this process, know that there is hope. Here are some ways you can go about getting revenge against crappy customer service.

Get better customer service by speaking to the corporate office

If you had a bad experience at a local or departmental level, say something about it to the big boss. Corporate headquarters rarely receive feedback about their employees because they are separated from the offices most of the time. If you let them know about a problem they were unaware of, they will probably make sure you get some sort of refund or special treatment. If that doesn’t happen, you can consider reporting the business itself.

Get customer service through the better business bureau

The BBB is specifically set up to ensure that customers like you are happy. If you have a bad experience with a company, you need to contact them to see if you can receive any reparations. Most companies will work hard to amend any negative feedback they receive because that can hurt their BBB rating. If they have an F because multiple customers reported unresolved problems, they could lose all of their future customers. File a report with the BBB and see if they can do anything to help you.

Show that customer service matters by posting a negative review online

You can help to forewarn other customers about the business’s bad practices by writing a negative review online. A lot of people will go looking for reviews like this before buying a product or paying for a service because they want to make sure they are getting a good deal. If you write a review that highlights something other than that, you may be able to prevent others from making the same mistake you made. Of course, this will not make up for your troubles, but it will take a little bit of business away from the company. Sometimes, that’s all that matters.

Before you aim to destroy the reputation of a company, make sure you talk to them about your concerns. Speak to customer support first, and then speak to a supervising party. If you have a bad experience after that, you can start to aim for revenge. It’s all a matter of picking the right option at the right time.
