It doesn’t matter who you are, what you do, or what your goals are, personal relationships run the world.
When it comes down to it. Work, done right, and under the right conditions, is an extremely fulfilling endeavor.
Under the right circumstances and when the right culture, ambitions, and environments are created, people come together, connect with each other, working towards a common goal, and a genuine bond is made that can last for a lifetime.
“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”
– Dale Carnegie, How to Win Friends and Influence People
Work is important because of your connection with people
When we step back and focus our efforts at work on understanding those around us, our co-workers, our bosses, and especially our customers; when we aim the outcomes of our actions to creating a positive impact in the lives of those around us, we make work a deeply meaningful and fulfilling part of our life. It’s at time point where work ceases to be just a job and becomes something more.
I think this is at the heart of work for those individuals who are not just merely putting in their 8 hours each day, but working on a greater purpose, changing their industries, improving lives, and making the world a better place.
