Dukeo.com Blogging Better to Better Customer Service

Sometimes the best customer service inspiration you can get will come from those doing fantastic things in completely unrelated industries.

I want to win customers. I love learning what other people and organizations are doing to build massive audiences of loyal customers. To do that, I read a lot. I follow lots of customer service blogs written by professionals, like me, on the wild adventure of making the world a better place through better customer service.

But many of the blogs I follow for customer service inspiration have nothing to do with customer service. They’re not about service, not about management, they’re not even really about business.

Effective Blogging Online

One of the fantastic non-customer service blogs I follow closely is Dukeo’s blog about effective blogging and making money online.

Dukeo.com, one of the most effective customer service blogs that’s not about customer service

Dukeo.com is a blog about Making Money Online, Affiliate Marketing, Mindset for Success, SEO Techniques and much, much more. So who is this Dueko? Dukeo is Stephane Kerwer. Ste is a fantastically successful online entrepreneur that aside from earning six-plus figures each year through his online businesses, takes time to share amazing ways to improve our blogging efforts on a daily basis. I haven’t mentioned the best part of dukeo.com, all of the tips and articles on How to start a business blog,  improving blogging and making money online are completely free. Free.

Ste recently asked for reviews of the dukeo.com Web site and I’m sharing mine. Here’s my 4 reasons why the dukeo blog has helped be a better customer service blogger.

1. Publish something in customer service every day

Dukeo’s blog is a fantastic blog to follow because it’s consistent. I know I can expect new posts every day. There’s always something new to learn and add to my customer service tool box. Ste’s popular post title Don’t check your email first thing in the morning inspired me to stop letting other people hijack the start of my day and encouraged me to begin each day by being creative and getting my thoughts down before taking care of everything else.

2. If you love something, start a blog about it

Blogs are successful because they are based on a strong idea, even about customer service. Everything you see on the blog will support that idea. If you want more visitors, answer questions, share your experience, and fill a need in your industry. The Dukeo blog has some fantastic guides to starting a successful blog the right way and it has helped me stay motivated to continue blogging about customer service.

3. Get feedback on your blogging

One of the most common questions bloggers have is “Am I doing this right?” Getting feedback on your blogging efforts is tough. Building a successful blog takes time, energy, and effort. Building an audience is difficult. Getting that audience engaged and commenting on your content is even harder. So how can you ever get good feedback on your blog? Dukeo shares his 10 things I wish every blogger I read would do is just that. Feedback on your blog. Ok, so maybe Ste isn’t reading your blog, but his tips are fantastic and are just applicable to your blog as to any other blog. If your blog is up to Dukeo’s standard, you’re bound to see success.

4. Be a better communicator

Become a better writer and you’ll be a better blogger. Be a better blogger and you’ll be a better communicator. Be a better communicator and you’ll be more effective in every facet of your life.

Dukeo will outline the way to become a better writer. Follow Ste’s tips and you’re on your way. So many blogs fail because we’re too critical of ourselves and expect too much before we’re willing to share what we have with the rest of the world. You don’t need to be an established author. You don’t need to even be an established anything. You just need to deliver effective information that makes a difference. That’s the beauty of blogging.

Your readers aren’t expecting Shakespeare. In fact, if you think about it, most people hate Shakespeare. They also don’t like being talked down to which is what they feel like when you use those 14-syllable words they don’t understand, so quit trying to work them into your content.

So whether you’re looking to build an online business, build your corporate blog, generate traffic to your existing blog, improve your writing skills, or learn how to deliver more effective customer service, dukeo.com is one blog you have to follow.

Anything I don’t like about dukeo?
